CONCLUSIONS: CTEPH is associated with acceptable short-term mortality and an improvement in pulmonary hemodynamics. With increasing volume of experience and ongoing developments over time peri-operative mortality continues to decrease.

CONCLUSIONS: PFD was associated with reduced operative time and blood loss, shorter hospital stays, and fewer postoperative complications within 6 months. However, PFDD was associated with better symptom improvement and reduction in syrinx size and lower rates of revision decompression. CONCLUSIONS: The risk of rebleeding of a dural arteriovenous fistula with cortical venous drainage presenting with hemorrhage is increased in the first 2 weeks justifying early treatment. However, the magnitude of this increase may be considerably lower than previously thought. Treatment within 5 days was associated with a low rate of rebleeding and appears an appropriate timeframe.
