How to Apply

Important Dates: 
  • 2026 Program Period: June 22, 2026 – August 14, 2026.
     
  • Application Period: October 31, 2025 – December 14, 2025
     
  • Application Review Period: December 16, 2025 – February 28, 2026
     
  • Selection Notification: March 1–15, 2026

 

 

Important Requirements for Summer Program Applicants:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older by the first day of the program (due to minimum age requirements in facilities).
  • Applicants must be either a US citizen or have permanent residency status. Visa holders are not eligible.
  • University undergraduate students may apply if they are at least 18 years of age and older by the first day of the program and are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Graduate students are not eligible.
  • Applicants will be required to provide their GPA and Stem GPA on the application. A minimum of a 3.2 GPA for both are required to apply.
  • Applicants must have immunizations and TB test results which are current through the program end date.
  • A limited number of sponsored housing slots are available to applicants originating from outside of the area. Transportation to/from Seattle, meals, and local transportation while participating in the program are the responsibility of the applicant. Participants must be available to work at least 40 hours every week for the duration of the entire 8-week program.

 

Required Application Materials:
  1. Letter of Interest: Addressed to the Selection Committee, this letter should express your interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and include a narrative explaining why you are interested in the program.
     
  2. Current Resume
     
  3. Unofficial Transcript
     
  4. At least one letter of recommendation: This must be from a faculty member in STEM. Recommendations do not have a specific word or length requirement.
