The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke website has brief articles about various neurological disorders that are linked to the specific national associations. This website includes information on strokes, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, etc.

Pain

The American Chronic Pain Association website is a good source of information for patients with chronic pain.

The Global Pain Initiative provides an online educational and support community for persons in pain, their families, and physicians. The information on treatment is peer reviewed by pain specialists.

Paralyzed Veterans of America

The Paralyzed Veterans of America website is for Veterans who have experienced spinal cord dysfunction (SCI). It has a good section on living with SCI which can be accessed by the public.

Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)

The Northwest Regional Spinal Cord Injury System (NWRSCIS), centered within the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at University of Washington Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center and Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center, is funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR).
