Congratulations to Dr. Diana Wiseman who is among the winners of the Fall 2023 UW Medicine Cares Award. The UW Medicine Cares Awards were established in 2013 to formally recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of individuals and teams who consistently exemplify UW Medicine’s Service Culture Guidelines. Nominees for the award go above and beyond to support other members of the UW Medicine community.
Since Dr. Wiseman joined Harborview, she has served as the main point of contact for families and medical teams to be the voice and face of Neurosurgery. She has distinguished herself in this role with her compassion, her dedication, and her service to patients throughout HMC. Family members frequently mention how helpful it has been to sit down with her, noting that she has an ability to break down complex neurosurgical procedures and provide guidance on potential outcomes for their loved ones. She is a helpful and reliable source of information and empathy to families who are facing difficult situations, and her colleagues are grateful for her expertise and human approach.
