Hydrocephalus Drug Fails in Trial but ‘Sets the Stage’ for Future Work

While patients with idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus often turn to shunt surgery, the idea of a pharmacological treatment like acetazolamide is an attractive alternative. Despite the occasional off-label use of that drug for the condition, a new study does not support that use.
