Congratulations to Dr. Hofstetter who along with Dr. Chet Moritz was awarded a Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs grant in the amount of $410,176 (1st year) for their project “Closed-loop Spinal Stimulation for Restoration of Upper Extremity Function After Spinal Cord Injury.”

Congratulations to Dr. Zin Khaing who was awarded an NIH research grant in the amount of $1,957,000  for her project “Hemodynamic basis for secondary cervical grey matter tissue loss after spinal cord injury”.

Congratulations tor Dr. Chesnut and Dr. Temkin whose paper “A Trial of Intracranial-Pressure Monitoring in Traumatic Brain Injury,” which was published in the December 27, 2012 issue of The New England Journal of Medicine, has been cited over 1000 times. 

Congratulations to Dr. Kalume who is one of seven University of Washington scientists included in Cell Mentor’s list of 1,000 inspiring Black scientists published in December 2020.
