Congratulations to Mike Levitt who, along with his team, will be part of a multicenter study funded by Boston Neurosciences to evaluate a noninvasive method of measuring intracranial pressure (ICP) using a transorbital Doppler ultrasound device. Intracranial pressure is very helpful in evaluating patients after traumatic brain injury, to detect brain swelling, as well as in other conditions. The advantage of measuring ICP noninvasively is that it avoids surgery and lowers the likelihood of complication. More information can be found here.
