Mukilteo man’s rare brain surgery may help his seizures — and science

When Mike Morgan was ready to potentially learn why he was suffering seizures and processing information slower than he ever had, since part of his brain burst in a hemorrhage more than four years ago, he sought out treatment with Dr. Ben Grannan.  He also wanted to serve science, offering medical researchers a rare opportunity to examine freshly removed tissue from the primary visual cortex in a quest to better understand this powerful but little understood part of the brain.  Read full story here.
