Dr. Mac Donald previously worked in Landstuhl, Germany to evaluate combat casualties in the acute critical care environment and has been following the 500-patient cohort ever since, known as the EVOLVE Study (EValuation Of Longitudinal outcomes in mild TBI Active-Duty Military and Veterans). The efforts have already led to multiple high impact publications providing some of the first longitudinal advanced neuroimaging and clinical outcome data collected from the very same patient in combat, at 1-year, 5-year, and now 10-year outcome. We congratulate Dr. Mac Donald and her team as they continue to follow these patients now situated in all 50 states, 2 US territories, and 7 countries.
