Cerebral Palsy and Spasticity

Cerebral Palsy is a permanent movement disorder that appears in early childhood and is caused by brain damage during pregnancy, birth, or even after birth although this is rare.  When a child with Cerebral Palsy can’t control their reflexes, this is called spasticity.  Children with Cerebral Palsy and Spasticity are seen at Seattle Children’s, where you can find more information.
