Dr. Kim is Vice Chairman and Professor of Neurological Surgery, and is Chief of the Neurological Surgery Service at Harborview Medical Center. He is part of a select group of neurosurgeons across the country fellowship-trained in both open vascular/skull base microsurgery and endovascular techniques for the treatment of cerebrovascular and spinal vascular diseases.
Dr. Gelfenbeyn is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery and Chief of Neurosurgery at the Puget Sound VA Health System’s Seattle Campus. He was born and grew up in Moscow, Russia. After graduating medical school, he worked at the Moscow Sklifosovsky Emergency Care Institute where he was Chief of Neurosurgery. Dr. Gelfenbeyn immigrated to the US at the end of 2000 and completed a residency and fellowship at the University of Washington Department of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Manuel Ferreira is the chief of Neurological Surgery Service at the University of Washington Medical Center, co-director of Skull Base and Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery, Director of UW Medicine Multi-disciplinary Pituitary Program and a UW associate professor of Neurological Surgery. He is the surgical director of the UW Medicine Multi-Disciplinary Pituitary Program.
Richard G. Ellenbogen, MD, FACS is Professor and Theodore S. Roberts Endowed Chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington. He is an attending surgeon at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital and University of Washington Medical Center. He is also Director of the UW Medicine Neurosciences Institute. In addition, he is Director of the Neurological Surgery Residency Program and Founding Co-Director of the Seattle Sports Concussion Program, a joint program sponsored by Seattle Children’s Hospital and UW Medicine.
Based at Harborview Medical Center, Dr. Chesnut is a UW professor with appointments in both the Department of Neurological Surgery and the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. He has particular expertise in surgery and critical care for traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, failed back surgery, and adult spondylolisthesis, as well as sports-related spine and brain injuries.
