Our primary focus for scientific investigation is to conduct a high quality randomized controlled trial addressing a question critical to the management of TBI worldwide: Does the use of a consensus-based protocol based on intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring to direct treatment of children with sTBI improve patient outcomes versus a consensus-based aggressive management protocol based on imaging and clinical examination alone (without ICP monitoring).
