Charles Vaughan, A.R.N.P., is a neurosurgery acute care nurse practitioner at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle. Vaughn has several years of experience as a critical care registered nurse at the University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle. He also has experience working in the Emergency Department at Harborview Medical Center and the UW Medicine Pioneer Square Clinic.
Vaughan earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Washington. Prior to his academic progression in nursing, he earned a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a specialization in biomedical engineering from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, and completed a successful 30-year career as an engineer in aerospace and biomedical engineering.
Vaughan enjoys working with patients and their families, and guiding patients in their care and path to recovery.
In addition to working with patients and their families, Vaughn enjoys scuba diving, skiing, cycling, hiking and climbing.
