Patient specific computational modeling of fluid-structure interactions of cerebrospinal fluid for biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease

Our proposal aims to develop a novel whole-brain computational technique capable of simulating CSF flow with high fidelity and calculating "maps" of the material properties of the brain, in hopes of developing new biomarkers for AD. This work will focus on validating the method on healthy volunteers to serve as a proof of concept for a larger scale future trial on ADRD patients.
