Bernice G. Gulek is a Board-Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the Department of Neurological Surgery at Harborview Medical Center. She has experience in outpatient, inpatient, and Neurocritical care settings over three decades working with persons with Neurological conditions. Currently, Dr. Gulek provides peri-post surgical management of patients with complex skull base tumors, intracranial aneurysms, spinal cord injury, and a spectrum of traumatic brain injury, management of complex neurological and medical conditions from admission to discharge. She is a member of the University of Washington Institutional Review Board and has published in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Gulek is interested in Global Neurosurgery, Systems thinking, Research, and the integration of technology into clinical practice. She joined the World Federation of Neurological Societies (WFNS) and currently serves as Neuroscience Nurses Committee Chair within the WFNS Global Neurosurgery Forum to increase Neuroscience workforce capacity, education, and advocacy.
